김은숙은 사회 구조의 비가시적 요소를 통해 공동체의 사고 변이를 조장하는 현상에 대한 시야각을 조절한다. 만들어진 시각적 틈은 다른 각도에 머물던 비선형적 경계를 시간의 접촉면으로 압축한다. 사건이 발생되기 전, 정의되지 않은 시간, 존재하지만 알 수 없는 시간 사이의 간격을 예측한다. 별도로 재단되던 현실은 변화의 접점을 만나 공간에 재편집되며 서로간의 생경한 긴장감을 연출한다.
Eunsook Kim recalibrates perspectives on phenomena that stimulate shifts in community’s thinking, using invisible elements in society’s structure. The visual fissures she introduces compress the nonlinear boundaries that have been dormant in different angles into a temporal interface. Her creations foresee the intervals: moments preceding an event, undefined durations, and those times that, while existent, remain unfathomable. Previously distinct realities emerge in a re-edited form in the space upon the contact to catalysts for change, fostering an unfamiliar tension between them.
